Leon & Annatjie's wedding will ALWAYS ring unique bells for me, as it literally happened in the middle of the Klein Karoo, in the veldt.  Their dream home is being built just outside of Oudtshoorn on their farm, and with the foundations for the home solidly in place, they put a huge marque tent over the foundations and had their reception right there, in the middle of Klein Karoo veldt and bossies! :-) Every wedding has something unique, and apart from this sparkling, spontaneous bride and groom, the unique wedding reception right there, in the middle of "nowhere", spells that uniqueness of their wedding for me.  Being a farm girl I always LOOOOOVVVEEE doing weddings in the outdoors and veldt. Once upon a time there was a handsome prince and a beautiful princess who lived in the Free State.  They knew one another for many years, and fell in love, but no one knew..... They lived in two houses next to one another, until one day, they realised:  This is it! We are getting married!  When it happened, it was MAGIC.....They got married on a beautiful summer's morning, moved to Cape Town and lift happily ever after!    Sarel & Anna - this is how I'd like to tell your story! xxx

Sonja and Louis got married at the splendid Moolmanshoek venue, Ficksburg district, South Africa.  Moolmanshoek is well-known for its heavenly scenery, wild horses and warm-hearted people.  This is a tribute to the people of Moolmanshoek, and of course, Sonja and Louis!

Marie is a friend of mine, and have also been assisting me with some of my photo editing from 2012 until just before her little princess was born last year. She is an AMAZING person, inside and out.  What I enjoyed most about their pregnancy shoot, is the love between her and hubby Jacques that is just SO tangible.  Little Mia was born shortly after this shoot, and is now already a beautiful little baby girl!  There is nothing as beautiful as a pregnant woman! Greatest miracle ever!

Sarel and Bianca got married in on the 22nd of February 2014 - a wonderful summer's afternoon! They really were FUN to photograph!  Bianca and I have suffered together at Bootcamp before (!), and I've photographed many of their family events over the years.  It was therefore an honour for me to capture their precious wedding memories!  The wedding was at the splendid The Willows wedding venue just outside of Bloemfontein. I believe that God is a God of second chances!! Sometimes in life we go through trials and tribulations, but if we can keep our faith and trust God, we will be blessed!! Gerhard and Annelize are, to me, an example of this.  Both trusted God for a godly spouse, and in a supernatural way they met one another, fell in love and got married in November last year at the spectacular Leopards and Lace venue just outside of Bloemfontein.  The day was perfect in every way! I'm happy to share their memories of a blessed new beginning with you!

I've often asked myself: How lucky am I to be able to do in this life what I like best - that is of course to take photos!  And to write about it!  Every time that I photograph families and children, I count myself blessed! Blessed to be able to capture people's precious memories;  blessed to capture their love and appreciation for one another; blessed to look through the lens and see people the way God sees them, through His eyes.....Marsha and family, I enjoyed every single second of our Wilderness beach shoot end of December 2014!  Thank you so much for your enthusiasm, and for allowing me to share these moments with you.  May these memories always be with you!
